Portrait Lab June 24

I took a printmaking class a couple weeks ago. It was super interesting, the funny thing was that I had no idea what I was signing up for. I just knew I wanted to take a class of some kind, and I've always been very interested in the various printmaking processes. This particular one was copper plate etching with Japanese Paper Chine Collé. Huh? Yeah. So we etched plates, we glued very thin paper onto other paper. We printed. We rejoiced.

I wasn't particularly enamored with my drawing, but by the time I realized that it was too late - acid etched drawing into copper! Doh. Next time I will spend more time on the drawing part, but for my first time, it was a fun experiment.

Here's a photo of my plate.
