Lately, I've been leaving behind my small purse-sized sketchbook and opting instead for Sketchbook Mobile on my iPhone. I know, gasp. The sketchbook that I used to carry was for ideas or quick sketches, and when I got back to my studio I would develop the ideas further. This iPhone app replaces that little book, and since I have to carry my phone anyway I'm not adding extra weight to my already-very-heavy bag. I still prefer to draw on paper with a pen, but this is a nice option while away from my studio.
