2nd attempt at iPad drawing...now trying a stylus as a drawing tool. I tried one from the apple store (I really didn't like it, the tip was weird and spongey) and ended up with a Logiix from London Drugs.

I think there's a pattern here...

Last year I got inspired by people who would post something on their blog on a daily basis. People like Lisa Congdon and her 'A Collection A Day, 2010', or Jessica Hische's blog 'Daily Drop Cap', to name a couple. I liked the thought of having an added purpose to my blog, a daily challenge, while working on my favorite subject: Peeps and their mugs.

I'll probably regret making this commitment, (like when I'm super stressed, over worked, drunk, and/or on holiday), and this is the reason I have resisted writing 'an official' post about it until now, day 13. But what the hell. Here it goes.

Draping and Designing Fashion

Shisomiso is once again hosting draping classes with Angelika Werth. I've taken most of them, and they are SO GREAT. If you're interested in designing clothes (in a way that really makes sense), sign up! In addition to Angelika's classes, I'll be teaching a screenprinting on fabric class. Oh yeah, and I designed the poster.

Gallery Girls LA

While in LA, my cousin and I went to a figure drawing session called 'Gallery Girls'. The models are in various stages of dress/undress, wearing costumes and headpieces. There is usually a theme to the evening, on this night the theme was 'silver', so lots of lamé and shiny pasties. All in all, a fun night of drawing. The Gallery Girls facebook page here.

ICON 6: A Labor of Line Show at Nucleus Gallery

If you're in the LA area, check out a group illustration show at Nucleus Gallery in Alhambra. Thanks to Wade for including my work!
I was in LA for the opening, and it was a good time. The show is up until August 9th.
